We are proud to have radio host, Jim Gordon of Bergen, Norway interview Rune "Papaslide" Nordvik and introduce us to the music that influenced him to create his own distinct Blues sound.

Rune Nordvik’s music “paints the town red” but he is talented with any color – especially Blues. He commands a slide guitar like no other. He plays Blues Rock in its truest form, as his electric fretwork is heard over the Viking-like rhythmic sounds of drums and bass guitar. Nordvik’s gruff singing voice has a growling-essence of Howlin’ Wolf and the intensity of Johnny Winters. He admits to influences by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits, Alberts Collins and Joe Louis Walker. You will enjoy those performing alongside Papaslide from songs on the album titled “The Deepest Pain”. The Norwegian talents such as Bjarte Aasmul, Are Stenfeldt-Nilsen, Geir Age Johnsen and @Lars Hammersland are "tight". He has been honored to play with many of the Norwegian & European Blues communities. Many admit his stage performances soar due to the passion of the musicians he combines for various shows. He understands finding the right people to “play with” and “play off-of” is just as important as finding the “Soul of the Blues”. Years ago, Tulsa’s Radio IDL sponsored numerous citywide stage appearances during Rune’s tour of many of Tulsa’s music scenes. He was able to see Teegarden Studios, Cain's Ballroom, Leon Russell 's The Church Studio (under construction), Tulsa's Oklahoma Jazz Depot The Venue Shrine, Center of the Universe Tulsa OK and various downtown pubs. He enjoyed playing with musical talents such as Steve Pryor, Pete Marriott & Jennifer Marriott - Music/Band, Dylan Whitney Band, Russell Traywick, The Heather Buckley Band, Jimmy Ray Taylor others. ... Review: "Love On My Brain" by Danielle Nicole Schnebelen-Miller Band'

By Poppa Nite published by Radio IDL Danielle Nicole Band's new album, "The Love You Bleed" is just what we need. It's a sweet, soulful journey through the deepest parts of love, loss, and the fierce determination that keeps our hearts beating. This album turns heartache into a bluesy celebration! With the legendary Tony Braunagel behind the boards, it's no surprise that this album sounds top-notch. But it's the band, especially Danielle's heartfelt vocals and basslines, that make these songs stick with you long after they're over. Brandon Miller's seriously tasty guitar licks drive this album especially on "A Lover is Forever"—that track alone is worth the price of admission.Standout tracks like "Make Love," with its powerful message of hope in dark times, and the raw vulnerability of "How Did We Get to Goodbye" really showcase the band's emotional range. Then there's the pure fire of "Love On My Brain" bringing KC Blues to the forefront.Danielle Nicole Band has always been a force of nature, and "The Love You Bleed" is no exception. This is one of those albums that, much like a good wine, just gets better with time. Get a copy, "Turn It Up", and enjoy. @followers WOMPA Blues Society of Tulsa Black Wall Street Alliance The Blues Foundation Blues Rock Review Forty Below Records**For fans of:** Tedeschi Trucks Band, Bonnie Raitt, Koko Taylor ...
